trauma resolution - integration - self-healing

We suffer from a case of mistaken identity. Our culture has sold us a bill of goods about who we really are. Beneath all the inner chatter and emotional turmoil, we are much more than we have been led to believe.

Richard C. Schwartz, PhD

Psychotherapy sessions

I work with individuals who suffer from depression, anxiety, and panic attacks and are looking to ease their symptoms.

Other issues I commonly work with are emotional loneliness, navigating complex family dynamics, self-esteem, eating issues, relationship issues, impostor syndrome, and mystical experiences.

Treatment Approach

I offer in person sessions in Toronto as well as online counselling. I use a blend of therapeutic approaches focusing mainly on Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Internal Family Systems (IFS).

About Me

Upon graduating from the University of Toronto with a degree in anthropology, I lived for five years in Zurich, Switzerland, where I received an MBA in finance and worked in the corporate world. It was there that I discovered the work of Carl Jung. This led me to study counselling psychology at Pacifica Graduate Institute in California. My thesis was on trauma and memory and insights from MDMA-assisted psychotherapy. I have been in private practice in Toronto since 2018.

“What most people overlook or seem unable to understand is the fact that I regard the psyche as real.”

— Carl Jung, Answer to Job
